Current News and Events Bainbridge Is. May 6th, 2008 Old Fashion Town Hall Meeting Several members of this community organized a public meeting to discuss current problems with our local government in a public forum. It was well attended. The American Legion provided the facility and the Mayor and Council were invited to sit in. Bainbridge Community Network is providing a digital audio recording of the event and is down loadable for personal use here. If you weren't able to come, it is well worth listening to. Current News and Events Beyond Bainbridge Island's Territorial Waters May 13th, 2008 (press release) Bush gives up golf for war moms “I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf,” he said. “I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal.”
