| THE STORY | THE STORY WITHIN THE STORY In May of 2005 a box of books was purchased at a garage sale which contained the detailed journal of Ensign James Merrill McGrath. A captive of the Japanese for almost four years during WWII. The intricate detail of this journal certainly adds to the historical record and is surrounded by corroborating provenance. Since the discovery, extensive research has been done to substantiate and authenticate the journal, locate remaining family members, other surviving mentioned POW's and other like documented experiences. |
